Using G1 Pass

G1 Pass helps you prepare for Ontario's G1 knowledge test with practice questions, road-sign and rule references, and progress tracking. You can practise as a guest; creating an account adds saved progress across devices. By using the app, with or without an account, you agree to these terms.

Your account

If you create an account, give us accurate details and keep your way in to yourself, whether that's a password or your Google account. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so let us know right away if you think someone else is using it. You can stop using G1 Pass or ask us to delete your account at any time.

Fair use

Please don't:

• Copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our questions, explanations, or images.
• Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the app or other people's accounts.
• Use the app to do anything unlawful, or misrepresent it as the official test.

Study material & accuracy

We work hard to keep our questions and explanations aligned with the Ontario MTO Driver's Handbook and the Highway Traffic Act, but we can't guarantee everything is complete, current, or error-free, and the rules can change. G1 Pass is a study aid. It is not the official G1 test, and using it doesn't guarantee you'll pass. For anything that matters, rely on the official handbook and ServiceOntario.

Our content

The G1 Pass name, questions, explanations, and design are ours (or used with permission) and are for your personal study only. Road-sign images are used under their respective licences. Please don't reproduce our content elsewhere without permission.

Privacy

How we handle your data, including the anonymized usage analytics we use to improve the app and how to turn them off, is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using G1 Pass you also agree to that policy.

The app "as is"

We provide G1 Pass as it is, without warranties of any kind, and we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including not passing your test. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Changes and ending access

We may update the app and these terms as G1 Pass grows; if we make meaningful changes we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. We may suspend or end access that abuses these terms. You can stop using G1 Pass whenever you like.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there.
