Who can be your accompanying driver with a G1 licence?
A full Class G (or higher) holder with 4+ years experience and a BAC under .05%
Your accompanying driver must hold a valid Class G (or higher) licence, have at least four years of driving experience, and have a blood-alcohol level below .05% while accompanying you. They must sit in the front passenger seat.
Why the other answers are wrong

Any licensed driver aged 25 or older
Age never comes into it. The person beside you needs a full Class G licence or higher, four years or more behind the wheel, and a blood-alcohol level under .05% while they are with you.

Another G1 driver who has held the licence for a year
A G1 driver is not allowed to drive alone, so they cannot supervise anyone else. Your accompanying driver needs a full Class G or higher plus four years of experience.

A G2 driver, as long as they sit in the back seat
Two things break this one. The licence must be full Class G or higher, and the accompanying driver has to sit in the front passenger seat, never behind you.
