What hours can a G1 driver not drive in Ontario?

Why the other answers are wrong

Between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
This window is too wide at both ends. The G1 curfew does not start in the evening. Hold on to the two clock numbers that matter: midnight and 5 a.m.

Between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.
Right idea, wrong clock. This window starts two hours late and ends two hours late, so it would wrongly allow driving at 1 a.m. The real ban runs midnight to 5 a.m.

There is no time-of-day restriction for G1 drivers
There is one, and it is easy to forget. You may be thinking of G2 drivers aged 19 and under, where those same hours only limit passengers. At G1 you must not drive at all between midnight and 5 a.m.
